What we saw

Zumba instructors building real communities — 20, 40, 80 students showing up week after week because of the energy, the music, the instructor at the front. And then spending their Sunday evenings logging into Stripe to figure out why a payment looked odd, or manually tracking who had paid for the camp, or trying to bend a generic booking tool to handle something it was never designed for.

The bolt-on frustration

The platforms they were using were cheap to start and expensive in practice. Need waivers? That's a bolt-on. Courses? Another one. Want to offer discount codes? There's a charge for that too. It felt deliberately designed to extract more money from people who just wanted a fair deal.

The camps gap

Nobody had properly built camp booking for fitness instructors. Day selection. Short day/full day. Sibling discounts. It's a huge part of many instructors' income — especially over school holidays — and the existing tools either couldn't do it or made it so complicated it wasn't worth trying.

The Stripe problem

The most consistent frustration we heard: "I hate having to go into Stripe every time something happens." It's not a criticism of Stripe — it's a great payment tool. It's just not designed for people who want to see their week's income in 10 seconds flat.

So we built Zumbook.
